A winning farewell for Tex

Second row Tevita Ratuva is flying home to Fiji to be with his family, bringing to an end his time at the Scarlets.

Tex played his last game in Scarlets colours on Monday night, coming off the bench to play his part in a stunning second-half comeback win over Connacht.

His son Iliesa was born in Fiji last week and Tex is heading back to join his family before taking up a contract with French Top 14 side Brive ahead of next season.

Tex, who played for Fiji at the 2019 Rugby World Cup, played 21 matches in two seasons for the Scarlets and was a hugely popular member of the squad.

Head coach Glenn Delaney said: “We’ve loved having Tex here and he’s left a mark on the club. His son was born last week so he is heading back to Fiji to support his family. Everyone here at the Scarlets wishes him and his family well.”
