Scarlets second row Alex Craig is set to win his fifth Scotland cap in Saturday’s Autumn Nations clash with Portugal at BT Murrayfield.

The 27-year-old Dumfries-born lock is named in a much-changed line-up by head coach Gregor Townsend.

After making his first two Test appearances during the 2021 Six Nations, Craig earned a recall to the international squad following an outstanding first season with the Scarlets. He went on to start against USA and Chile during the 2024 Skyscanner Americas tour.

Scotland opened their autumn campaign with a comfortable win over Fiji, but were beaten 32-15 by world champions South Africa in Edinburgh last weekend.
