Peter Morgan 1959-2024

Rob LloydNews

Scarlets are deeply saddened to learn that our former player Peter Morgan has passed away.

Peter played 275 matches for the Scarlets, scoring 90 tries and captained the club to victory over Australia at Stradey Park in 1984.

He was capped by Wales and toured with the British & Irish Lions in 1980.

Peter was able to play at centre and fly-half, a gifted footballer with pace, skill and vision.

From Pembrokeshire, he made his Scarlets debut at just 17 years of age as a full-back against Richmond in 1976 and played his final game against Aberavon in 1988.

Our thoughts are with Peter’s family and friends at this sad time.
