Parc y Scarlets will host its biggest ever match-day community day for Saturday’s West Wales derby against the Ospreys.
A total of 53 teams will be taking part in various activities through the day, kicking off with a minis festival for under-7s to under-11s on the stadium’s training field from 10am as future Scarlets showcase their rugby talents ahead of the Scarlets-Ospreys showdown.
A host of budding young rugby stars will also be part of a guard of honour, flag-bearing and half-time tag.
Paul Fisher, Scarlets Community Foundation manager said: “This Saturday’s festival ahead of the derby between Scarlets and Ospreys will be a special occasion for everyone involved and will be the largest match day community rugby activity we’ve ever held here at Parc y Scarlets.
“It will be a great celebration of rugby from clubs across the region and reflects the excitement around our big derbies in the west.
“It will be brilliant to welcome so many young players, their coaches and families and friends to Parc y Scarlets for what we hope will be a memorable and enjoyable day of rugby for everyone.
“This is all about inspiring the next generation of rugby players and for everyone to feel part of a thriving and welcoming rugby community here in West Wales.”
