After the West U16s opened their campaign with a 52-3 win over RGC, Scarlets East launch their regional age-grade challenge on Wednesday evening when they take on Ospreys West at St Helen’s in Swansea (7.15pm ko).
Prop Dai Thomas leads the west side that includes players from Amman United, Llandeilo, Pontyberem, Tenby, Burry Port, Carmarthen Quins, Felinfoel and Penybanc rugby clubs.
Dyffryn Amman, Bro Dinefwr, Maes y Gwendraeth, Bro Myrddin, Y Strade, Bryngwyn, Glan y Mor and Llandovery College are the schools represented.
