It’s time to vote for your Scarlets Supporters Player and Try of the Season for the 2023-24 campaign.
Our annual awards evening takes place in the Quinnell Lounge at Parc y Scarlets next Friday (May 24) and two of the awards will be decided by you, the fans.
There are six nominees for Dyfed Steel Player of the Season
Gareth Davies
The Wales and British & Irish Lions scrum-half returned from World Cup duty as one of Wales’s stars of the tournament and continued that form with some outstanding displays for his club, particularly against Cardiff at the Arms Park, where he crossed for two tries in the victory. Has scored five tries in 12 games this season.
Alex Craig
Since arriving in the summer from Gloucester, Craig has been a virtual ever-present at the heart of the Scarlets pack, starting 18 matches, with his form earning him a recall to the Scotland squad during the Guinness Six Nations. An abrasive carrier, sits joint second on the URC tackling charts this season.
Ioan Nicholas
Recently described by head coach Dwayne Peel as a glue in the Scarlets side. Has featured in 19 of our 20 league and cup matches this season, producing an outstanding display in the recent narrow loss to the Sharks in Llanelli.
Ioan Lloyd
Another who has made a big impression in his first season in West Wales, wearing the No. 10 jersey with aplomb while Sam Costelow was on the treatment table. Lloyd’s attacking form and points off the tee earned him a recall into Wales’ national squad, where he featured during the Six Nations. Has also shown his versatility with eye-catching performances from full-back.
Ryan Elias
The Wales international hooker has taken over the captain’s armband for the second half of the season and led from the front. His performance against the Emirates Lions in November was one of the individual displays of the season and put in another strong display against another South African powerhouse when the Sharks arrived in West Wales waters.
Johnny Williams
A powerful presence in the Scarlets midfield whenever he’s played. The Wales international centre Returned from injury to deliver some big performances this season, scoring a try in Dublin against Leinster. Consistently gives the Scarlets go forward and hits hard in defence.
