Five members of the Scarlets Women’s U18s squad have been selected for Wales in their first capped U18s meeting with England at Rugby School on Sunday.

Full-back Carys Hughes, centre Bronwen Griffin and back-rower Maisie Davies (pictured) have been named in the starting line-up with Cadi-Lois Davies and Milly Summer among the replacements.

“This fixture is a fantastic opportunity for the girls who will face England in a full international for the first time,” said Wales U18 head coach, Catrina Nicholas-McLaughlin.

“It’s our aim to play a fast, exciting style of rugby that suits the women’s game and one the girls have really bought into.

“We have a fantastic management team, and their enthusiasm and hard work is reflected in the attitudes of the girls.

“The opportunity to face England is just the start in our campaign and we look forward to facing Scotland in a training game in two weeks’ time in preparation for the 6 Nations Tournament to be held at Wellington College in April.”
