Full-back Jac Davies has become the latest exciting young prospect to commit to the Scarlets.
The 20-year-old has signed a new Senior Academy contract after an outstanding campaign for Indigo Premiership champions Llandovery.
Davies delivered a series of stunning performances for the Drovers and also stood out in the Scarlets’ friendly against Exeter Chiefs at Sandy Park during the Six Nations window, producing superb breaks for two of the Scarlets’ tries.
A potent counter attacker, Davies is a Wales U20s international and a product of Ysgol Glantaf in Cardiff.
He is currently recovering from an ankle injury which ended his season just as he was knocking on the door for a URC debut.
Scarlets head coach Dwayne Peel said: “We were gutted for Jac that he picked up that ankle injury when he did because he had been in outstanding form for Llandovery and was in the conversation for selection for the URC.
“He is a talented footballer, who is quick on his feet and as he showed in the friendly against Exeter when he set up two of our tries, loves to counter attack. He is one of a number of young outside backs we look forward to seeing develop over the coming years.”
