The Scarlets hit the road to train in Aberaeron this week with more than 250 schoolchildren coming along to watch the boys train in glorious sunshine!.

As part of our sessions around the region – we’re in Tenby RFC next Thursday – Dwayne Peel and his squad travelled to one of the most picturesque rugby grounds in the game.

Primary school pupils from Ysgol Henry Richard, Ysgol Gymunedol Cei Newydd, Ysgol Llannon, Ysgol Llanarth, Aberaeron Primary, Ysgol Talgerreg and Ysgol Bro Siôn Cwilt enjoyed the morning, taking the opportunity to have autographs and photos with the squad and our ever-popular Scarlets mascot Cochyn.

Scarlets Community Foundation Manager Paul Fisher said: “It was a fantastic day and we had a brilliant welcome at Aberaeron. It is important for us to spread the Scarlets message across the region and being able to take training sessions into Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire is a big part of that.

“A huge thanks to the committee of Aberaeron RFC for their hospitality and allowing us to train on their pitch. It is a stunning venue, particularly when the sun is shining, and we look forward to seeing more of our young Scarlets fans when we head to Tenby RFC next week.”
