In recognition of the incredible commitment shown by foster carers in the county, the Scarlets welcomed Foster Wales Carmarthenshire fostering families to the Scarlets’ highly anticipated first home game of the season against Cardiff.

The foster carers enjoyed a well-deserved day out, and the event provided a fantastic opportunity for fostering to be showcased.

Through its ongoing collaboration with the Scarlets, Foster Wales Carmarthenshire was also present with an information stand in the Scarlets Supporters Village, giving the perfect platform to engage with the local community and raise awareness about the importance of fostering in Carmarthenshire.

Cllr. Jane Tremlett, Cabinet Member for Health and Social Services for Carmarthenshire County Council, said: “We are thrilled to have partnered with the Scarlets for this important initiative. Fostering plays a crucial role in providing stability, care, and support to children who need it the most, and it’s heartening to see such strong community involvement.

“Together, with the help of organisations like the Scarlets, we can raise awareness and encourage more people to consider fostering.”

Paul Fisher, Community Foundation Manager for the Scarlets, said: “It’s great for the Scarlets Community Foundation to recognise and support such a worthy organisation as Foster Wales Carmarthenshire. Organisations like this have such a positive impact and can make a difference to people’s lives.

“It was fantastic to have Foster Wales Carmarthenshire at our opening game against Cardiff and we look forward to growing our partnership in the future.”

Look out for Foster Wales Carmarthenshire’s future appearances at the Scarlets’ home games to learn more about fostering and how you can help provide a safe and nurturing home for children in need. Foster Wales Carmarthenshire has several planned events throughout the season, where they will continue to highlight the need for more foster carers to support children in Carmarthenshire.
